The Southern Music Research Center's 2025 fundraiser comes to Birmingham's Woodlawn Theatre Saturday, July 19!
Ticket sales from this event help fund & fuel our work to document & preserve the musical legacies of the region, supporting the growth & expansion of our online music archive as well as our ongoing oral history initiative, community preservation services, The Lost Child radio show, and other public projects, programs, & events.
We've got a great line-up of LIVE MUSIC from Hurricane Elaine Hudson and Will Stewart + Sarah Lee Langford, plus DJ sets from djcasequarter, a silent auction, a preview of our Alabama Hip Hop: 101 video series, and other news from the SMRC.
Tickets are just $20, and you can add an additional (optional) donation at checkout, to further support the cause.
Don't live in Birmingham, but still want to contribute to these efforts? Make a donation (by Patreon, Venmo, Paypal, or check) here! Every dollar directly sustains and expands our work.
You can also help by spreading the word: forward the link to this show to a friend, invite friends on Facebook, and generally spread the gospel of the SMRC! We are grateful for every ounce of support.
ALSO: Between now and July 19, we'll be spotlighting some of the exclusive, rare, & historic recordings in our archive on our signature radio show, The Lost Child! Tune in to Birmingham Mountain Radio on Saturdays at 9 AM Central / 10 Eastern or catch us on WBHMSaturdays at 5 PM Central / 6 Eastern and Sundays at 1 PM Central / 2 Eastern. Upcoming episodes will highlight just some of the sorts of archival work made possible by your ticket purchases and donations.
See you this month at Woodlawn Theatre!
